Nawal came to the US from Lebanon with her husband and two sons in 2016 and immediately enrolled at LVG to learn English. Her language skills improved quickly, and when combined with her background in restaurant management, Nawal was able to secure employment in a local eatery. Now settled in New Milford, Nawal continues in an advanced English class and is studying for the Food Protection Manager’s Certification, her goal being to operate a family restaurant.
